NET-2026 is over. Series-4 was the last one. NET-2027 Series-1 registration is expected early Oct 2026, which is our estimate from the 2026 pattern and not a NUST announcement.

When is the next NET?
NET-2026 is finished. Series-4 was the last one, and no further NET-2026 series will run. For NET-2027, Series-1 registration is expected early Oct 2026.
That expectation is ours, not NUST's. We estimated it from the NET-2026 pattern, in which Series-1 registration opened on 5 Oct 2025. NUST has not announced NET-2027 dates. When it does, the row above changes and the notice at the top of the site changes with it.
The ACT and SAT route
You can apply on an ACT or SAT score instead of sitting NET. It runs on its own calendar, with one window for the year rather than four series.

On this route merit is 75% ACT or SAT, 15% HSSC and 10% SSC for national seats, and 100% ACT or SAT for international seats.
What catches people out
- Registering once does not enter you into every series
- Each of the 4 series takes its own application form and its own fee of Rs 5,000. Missing a form is the most common way people lose a series they meant to sit.
- Registration and testing overlap
- Series-1 registration ran to 25 Nov 2025 while its own test window had already opened on 22 Nov 2025. A late registration can leave you with almost no runway.
- NET window is not your test date
- NUST publishes a window of days per city. Your slot inside that window is what you book on the portal, so the window is the outer bound, not an appointment.
- Your result date depends on your city
- Islamabad and Quetta are computer based and results follow in about 24 hours. Karachi and Gilgit are paper based and take longer.
